AD Kool-aid and saccharin pre-exposure

Purpose: To explore whether a Kool-aid flavor paired with saccharin can induce a flavor preference with pre-exposure.

Subjects:' 8 Rats

  1. 2 Days Conditioning 24 hr access to 0.05% saccharin and 0.05% Grape or Cherry Kool-aid counterbalanced.
  2. 14 Days 24 hr 2 bottle access to 0.05% saccharin + 0.05% Kool-aid (Grape and Cherry both).

Conclusions: No significant Preference for Grape or Cherry Kool-aid with saccharin following pre-exposure.
